Book Production Questions
What is Author Zone?Click to show information
Author Zone is the secure customer area on the site where our registered authors can log in and manage the publishing process for their book.
Within the Author Zone it is possible to choose and purchase the package you wish to use, purchase additional and optional services, upload your electronic files, and request assistance with your publishing project from your dedicated Publishing Assistant.
Do you accept all types of books?Click to show information
We accept all types of books as long as :-
- They can be legally published
- There are no copyright issues.
In the rare event that the company believes your book is not able to be published, this would be communicated prior to any payments beyond your deposit being accepted.
Do you require a synopsis to start?Click to show information
No, we are happy to provide the publishing service for you.
This is unlike some of our competitors. We do not make any judgements on what you as the author have chosen to write about.
Do you provide an editing service?Click to show information
Yes, beyond proof reading included in most of the packages, we can provide a full editing service.
By this we advise on the full manuscript and areas of improvement.
There is an additional charge to the package and dependent upon the book and its contents as to what we can provide.

Can my book have images or photos?Click to show information
Yes – we are happy to publish legal images or photos (without any copyright attached to them).
The price of images is dependent upon their type and the quantity of images required in your book.
The price is agreed with your production assistant.
Can I create my own book cover?Click to show information
Every author's cover is unique and you will work with your production assistant to agree it.
It may be your own design and include your own photos and images.
How long will it be before I have my book?Click to show information
This is upon the package being requested but in general we expect a book to be ready in the following timescales

Bronze 3-4 weeks
Silver 5-6 weeks
Gold 6-7 weeks
Platinum 7-8 weeks
Who will my book be published by?Click to show information
The Happening Press is the company your book will be published by. It is fully owned by GYSP LLP.
Will I own the copyright?Click to show information
Yes you will own the full copyright of the book and this will be displayed within your book.
